When I started playing golf about four years ago, obviously everything I did was awful -- driving, approach shots and, naturally, putting. I picked up the Never Compromise Stubby putter in Atlanta a couple of years ago, almost as a joke -- partly because of its name and partly because of how it looked. Nevertheless, I started using it to putt short distances on a carpet at home whenever I had a few minutes. I was quite surprised to see my putting improve dramatically over a few months.
