| I've tried the Nike Tour, Tour D, and Vapor and for distance the Vapor was the longest, followed, by the Tour D, and then the Tour. Around the greens, the Tour was the best, followed by the Tour D, and then the Vapor. The balls I have in my bag now is the Tour D. I believe it's the best overall ball for Nike and since I'm a Nike lover, it's the Tour D. |

Bridgestone makes a ball known as the tour B330.RX which is designed for the same golfer. The B330.RX however is composed of a urethane cover which brings it to a greater cost. In the Bridgestone E series, there is no correlating ball to the Nike Vapor. You may want to try the new Srixon TriSpeed Tour which is due out later this fall.

The Ignite ball was the ball designed prior to the Vapor and was more geared toward distance. The Vapor is a better all around ball combining distance with workability and more greenside control. The Power Long ball is a two piece distance ball offering low spin for longer, more accurate drives but does not compare in performance to the Vapor.

Yes, my swing speed is somewhere between 88 and 92 and I play the Vapor. I've gained a few yards with the driver without giving up much short game control.

The Vapor is a great ball. It is designed for adding control for club head speeds that cannot compress the tour performance balls. This ball will give you added spin with your short irons and wedges while keeping your driver distance at a maximum.

The SFT-2 ball is similar to the Power Distance soft ball that is available now. It is a low spin, low compression distance ball that doesnt compare well to the New Nike One Vapor. The Vapor is a higher performance ball with greater control. Try the new Power Soft if you are looking to get a ball close to the SFT.

Thank you for your question, the Nike One will actually increase your spin rates as it is a higher spin golf ball. If you want a low spin ball off the tee that will spin a little higher around the greens than the Power Long you may want to try the Power Soft.

The Vapor replaced the Ignite. The Nike One Tour replaced the One Platinum and the Tour D Replaced the One Black. This should lead you in right direction.
I'd stick with the Tour D and Tour but I'll be honest the Vapor is a vast improvement from the Ignite.

Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

Don't worry, I'll answer your question for you. Most golf shops have equipment with which they can measure your club head speed, however they may attempt to sell you a shaft you don't need. The vast majority of people do just fine with the shaft that comes with the club.

Search for a Golfsmith or PGA Tour Superstore in your area. Golfsmith has hitting areas set up near the rear of their shops and the majority of the time no one bothers you at all. The PGA Tour Superstores usually have at least 8 perforance bays that you can try clubs out.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

A golf ball takes between 100 and 1000 years to decompose. If a golf ball is not old and battered through play, it will be fine!!!

Golf balls stored in a controlled climate, (not outside in the elements, not stored in a 100 degree temperature,)will lose ONE YARD per year. That means, obviously, if you store your golf balls for ten years they will lose only ten yards of carry. Most of us could never tell the difference until it reaches that ten year mark.

Nowadays so many balls aren't classified as having a "urethane" cover but more now classified under their own brand name cover. But please be sure and review ball descriptions as many of them do have the cover named in the description.

This is a perfect question for a company that started out selling used golf balls! Really there is only one down side; the length of time the ball spent in the water. If it's one that has been in the water for months then it stands a much better chance to become "out of round" so that the performance of the golf ball is compromised. This is rare due to the fact that used golf ball retriever is a big time business and ponds/lakes have balls fished out of them

You may certainly request this. During checkout there is a space to add "additional comments." Please make your request there. But also please note that the being able to enlarge your personalization is based upon 1) there being a limited amount of text that you want on the ball 2) knowing that we have a limited amount of space to print on.
If you max out all three lines with text then we would have no room to grow, so to speak.

Thanks for your question. Golf Ball Manufacturer aren't required to put a compression on a golf ball and many of them don't want to be segmented by giving that information. In regards to dimple designs there are multiple dimple designs on golf balls and there is also not set number as to how many dimples a golf ball will have. It varies on every golf ball.

In regards to storing golf balls in cold temperatures or hot temps for that matter, temperature will eventually have an effect on a golf ball but only after a long period of time. Moral of the story, try not to store golf balls in your trunk! I'm guilty of that one!

I can't tell you how many calls or emails we receive stating that just when you get used to playing a certain ball they change it! It's enough to drive your crazy! For a golf ball manufacturer it's about doing their best to keep their product relevant and fresh. That is why their product gets tweaked every 1-2 years.
