Nice Value 2/24/2009
Handicap 10 - 15
I have played Callaway HX Tour 56 balls for years and very much liked them. I hit the TaylorMade Burner TP this weekend and was very impressed with distance and ability to stick on the green. Bravo!

TAYLORMADE TP BURNER "IS the BEST" 8/8/2008
Handicap 10 - 15
I have played the Callaway Tour 56 ball for the last 3 yrs and tried this ball after it was recommended by one of my friends. This is a great ball- excellent distance, soft feel around the greens and holds well. It however does damage rather easily but I can put up with that as long as the ball continues to work for me. My opinion is: BUY IT NOW! you'll love it too!

TOP DOG 7/24/2008
Handicap 10 - 15
This ball ranks up there with the 40 dollar types, long forgiving and putts like a low compression. Not very durable though and the price could be a few dollars cheaper!

Terrible 7/17/2008
Handicap 10 - 15
Use any of the Callaway Ball except Bertha and Warbird. This ball just does not fly straight like the Callaway balls. Good luck sticking a green with these balls.

not the best 5/25/2008
Handicap 10 - 15
I do like this golf balls, but I would rather play with a titleist (nxt tour). The problem I had is that the ball wasn't that durable and you get much better spin with the nxt. These taylormades though do give you better distants.

The talk is about club head speed; high, moderate and low. Just where does one go to determine club head speed and does this only apply to drivers?
A
05/21/2009 3:21 PMGolfballs.com Employee: Andy
Thank you for your inquiry. Club head speed is mainly mentioned when speaking of driving the golf ball. High club head speeds are 100 MHP+, moderate 85-99, and low would be considered below 85 MPH. Head speed will always be considered when determining shaft flex and usually ball selection. It is always great to be aware of your club head speed.

My company bought several doz. balls, they were kept in the store room. How long will these balls last? are they still good? its been around 8yrs. the company closed and I recieved several doz.

Jerry, the shelf life of the golf balls if stored in a climate controlled area is non existent. The balls will perform to the standards they were produced at the time. If you are playing an older golf ball you may notice differences from performance of newer balls but that is due to advances in technology not because the ball is "dead". Only storing balls out doors or in non controllable climates will you notice the balls only last around 2 years in most cases.

A golf ball takes between 100 and 1000 years to decompose. If a golf ball is not old and battered through play, it will be fine!!! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/6540852/Golf-balls-take-1000-years-to-decompose.html

Is ID-Align aligned along 1) the center of balance, 2) the seam of two part cover, or 3) just a few dots on either side of initials?
A
05/04/2009 3:09 PMGolfballs.com Employee: Andy
Thank you for your question. The IDAlign service is centered in accordance to the logo of the manufacturer, in many cases the balls we print on are seamless. The are 6 different Golfballs.com ID-Align selections to choose from including arrows, lines, dots, or stars. For additional inquiries, please contact us at 1-800-372-2557. Thanks, Andy

Golf balls stored in a controlled climate, (not outside in the elements, not stored in a 100 degree temperature,)will lose ONE YARD per year. That means, obviously, if you store your golf balls for ten years they will lose only ten yards of carry. Most of us could never tell the difference until it reaches that ten year mark.
